We've had a long slog of a primary, a primary that concludes - as most do - with supporters from various constituencies within a party vowing to vote for the opposing candidate or sit out in November. These wounds always heal. Always.

This is the reason that these wounds heal:

John McCain, this morning:

I think it's very clear who Hamas wants to be the next president of the United States. So apparently has Danny Ortega and several others. I think that people should understand that I will be Hamas's worst nightmare....If Senator Obama is favored by Hamas I think people can make judgments accordingly.

Very soon we'll be able to focus all of our energies on McCain. Right now he's sitting back and smiling. Within about 6 weeks we'll be able to start wiping that smirk from his face.

I am an Obama supporter that will vote for Clinton should she win. But as to the assertation that she wopuldn't "go there', implying linking Obama and Hamas, I'm sad to say she already has:

She reminded viewers that Obama's church had offered its bulletin as a forum for a message from Hamas, and cheerfully piled on when George Stephanopoulos raised the troublesome matter of Obama's connection to William Ayers.

C'mon guys. McCain has spoken out about people using Obama's middle name. We shouldn't call him "Sydney" or "J. Sydney McCain."

It's only fair. We don't want people implying that Obama is related to a middle eastern dictator, and it's just as unfair to McCain to imply that he's a femmy nancyboy.
