The company you keep.

As many of you may know state Senate Democratic Leader Steve Geller filed suit today to seat the Full Florida delegation.  Mr. Geller filing his suit under Voting Rights Act.

Rather than commenting further or sharing my opinion of this person, I will let the title of my diary and the video below speak for themselves.

This should put to rest the argument that the Democratic party in FL didn't want the vote moved.  I hope you will look at those claiming otherwise in the proper light going forward.

Thanks to politicsmatters who provides further food for thought from Jedreport.

Does this really surprise anyone.  That blowhard is the kind of sarcasm.  Freakin' egos everywhere in politics and no one really giving a shit about this country, the fact that it's headed rather quickly down the toilet.  These are the people charged with protecting democracy.  Jefferson, Adams and Washington are rolling in their respective graves.

FL must count the votes (none / 0)

The will of Florida voters shall be heard - where's Kathleen Harris to certify a vote when you need her?

If you had everything, where would you put it?

I'm sorry if you take offense.

It is not an attack on fellow Democrats.

As an Obama supporter I'm not looking at you ....

I'm looking past you.

That's Geller! (none / 0)

I'd seen the clip before, but I didn't make the connection. So the same guy who is now filing this lawsuit is the ass who is one of the main reasons we have this debacle in the first place. Lovely.

I think someone should file a reverse lawsuit (2.00 / 1)

If they count FL and MI, after telling the voters the vote didn't count, that's like going through a neighborhood before the election and telling the voters they needn't bother voting because the vote won't count and then counting the votes of those who showed up anyway. I think that's election fraud. I think that's biasing an election toward a certain group of voters. I think THAT's a civil rights issue.

Re: I think someone should file a reverse lawsuit (none / 0)

People never believe specious claims that their votes don't matter.  Look at the West Virginia and Kentucky primary results for instance.

This is different and you know it. (none / 0)

The Democratic Party told them their votes wouldn't matter. It's biased against smart people. It's like going into a neighborhood and telling all the informed people to not vote because it won't count, but then going to all the less informed people and saying, "Never mind what I told them. You go vote. We'll get it counted." Voter fraud. Pure and simple.

Exactly. (2.00 / 1)

They voted for it wholeheartedly without any mind of the consequences.  I hope Floridians throw them out on their collective asses 'cause them is some piss poor legislators.

Re: Exactly. (none / 0)

I read somewhere (I'll look for the source) that the GOP had attached a voting reform bill to the bill to change the primary date and basically told Democrats that if they wanted election reform, they had to support changing the date.
